AirMech, a real-time strategy game, which is incredibly fast paced and free to play for everyone on the Xbox 360, has reached over one million players worldwide. To celebrate this fact, Ubisosoft have announced that the game will be receiving Assassin’s Creed inspired skins for AirMechs and Pets to provide players with even more options to customize their experience in the game.

Having only launched two months ago, the community for the game has grown rapidly, which just proves that free-to-play works well on console platforms, although this model has only started to see releases in the past few years.

The Skins available, the Assassin’s Creed Novi Aqulilis Neo AirMech and the Templar Abstergo Fortis Prototype Saucer, have different abilities suited to the Asssassins and Templars. Players can also deploy pets in the forms of the Spirit Eagle, Apple of Eden and DNA cube to accompany them in battle. The update that brings this crossover also includes additional skins, units and updated maps, and is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

You can find AirMech for free on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
