Dark Souls 2 is a delightful treat disguised in a dark and pain filled world, with obstacles and punishment around every corner. Fans of the game will be looking forward to the release of the third installment in the “The Lost Crowns” trilogy which concludes with “Crown of the Ivory King”. Which unfortunately will be pushed back from 24/09/2014 and will now be released on 1/10/2014, this means that fans will just have to hang on that little bit longer if they desire to be a glutton for punishment.

This will hopefully not delay anticipation for the release as the “Crown of the Ivory King” which is shaping up to be one of the most grueling and trying obstacles in Dark Souls 2 to date. New hardships you will encounter are things such as snow and blizzards both of which will be able to effect movement speed and combat in the game, as well as limiting your field of view and making you have to consider carefully your course of action to undergo. Not forgetting the new environments and levels to explore, where many people will be running face first along walls tapping the A button trying to uncover new hidden rooms with glorious Dark Souls secrets.

FROM have also teased that players who have braved and completed the “Lost Crowns Trilogy” will experience something new within the actual game, i imagine this might have something to do with an alternative ending to “Dark Souls 2” but only time will tell. Now we know the wait is a little longer but i am confident this wait will only allow more anticipation for a conclusion to an exciting DLC trilogy.
