The original Mass Effect trilogy is getting a 4K remaster and will be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2021. The game will also be enhanced for the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles too!
The announcement of the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was made by EA and Bioware during todays N7 day celebration. The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is a compilation of Bioware’s first three Mass Effect titles; Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. The Legendary Edition will also feature all available single-player DLC, plus additional in-game content such as extra armour and weapons.
Bioware have also stated that the title will support a 4K resolution and both PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X will receive enhanced features at a later date.
It is also worth noting that this compilation isn’t a full remake, but rather a remaster. EA choosing to remaster the Mass Effect trilogy also follows the publishers previous remasters of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Burnout Paradise.
