A new fighter for the next Mortal Kombat game has been announced, and it’s an old one at the same time. Kano is returning, and this time he has three different variations, changing up his fighting style in this new game. This was revealed in a new trailer that showed off a new stage or two at the same time.

These variations have different visual styles, as well as move sets and allows for better ranged, melee or defensive advantages that are sure to be expanded upon more in the future.  These styles seem to be colour co-ordinated, with his cybernetics glowing his classic red, a green colour or even yellow. This will help players identify what current variation Kano is using and should be able to help distinguish his move sets, though could take some time to be a bit more familiar with.

The trailer also offers a small look into his X-Ray moves and Fatalities, which are brutal in the tradition Mortal Kombat way. There’s also a tease at the end of “Who’s Next?” clearly showing that more characters will be revealed shortly, possibly in as much depth as Kano has been in this trailer.

You can check out the footage yourself below, in all it’s glory. Mortal Kombat X will release in 2015 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
