Microsoft are bringing you even closer to having only one box running underneath your television as they have just announced their Xbox One Digital TV Tuner will be released this year in Europe, as the seek to expand their live television features. Due to launch in October in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy the USB adaptor will allow users to users to bypass either cable or satellite box connected via the HDMI-In port.
Using the Xbox One Digital tuner you will be able to pick up free-to-air DVB-T, DVB-T2 and DVB-C standards. You can also pause live TV, use Snap mode and use OneGuide to access TV lisitings. On top of that if you have the Kinect device you can choose you channel using your voice incase it’s too much effort lifting those fingers.
You’ll be able to buy the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner in late October in the UK for a nice sum of £24.99 which is a very respectable price I feel, and the other countries mentioned above at 29.99 (Euros). Currently Microsoft haven’t released any other countries in Europe they plan on releasing this device to but as soon as they update the news we here at XLBG will let you know straight away.
