For those who are looking forward to Destiny but aren’t quite sure whether or not they want to put down a pre-order, you may just be in luck. The Destiny Beta will open for everyone at 4pm PDT today, as long as you have a Playstation Plus or Xbox Live Gold account.
The Destiny Beta will run until 11:59 on the 27th of July, so there’s not much time to get in and test out the waters, but it’s plenty of time to try out everything there is to offer and run up to the beta’s maximum level. This includes a taste of the majority of modes and activities you can participate in when the game launches on the 9th of September this year.
After having some hands on, Destiny is a fun shooter, with a good blend of some MMO tropes and Bungie’s own shooter action. It’s a great deal of fun and great to play with your buddies. If you’re a bit unsure on whether or not it’s for you, this is the prime time to try it out before the game see’s it’s full release.
