The latest game in the “Magic” trading card franchise, titled Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers, has now been released on Xbox 360 and will be released on Xbox One later this summer. Players are challenged to “hunt bigger game” in this game of strategy where the main aim is to find and defeat Garruk Wildspeaker before he finds you.

Players can travel across five different planes, battle creatures and even has virtual booster packs to collect and build your own deck. In single-player mode, it is this deck that must be powerful enough to take down Garruk Wildspeaker. There is also a multi-player mode which allows up to four players to battle it out.
Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers aims to close the gap created by Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft which is also a digital collectible card game but is not currently available on Xbox. With Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers now available on Xbox 360, that gap may soon be closed. I’m not the biggest Magic player, although I have dabbled. For beginners like me, there is a detailed tutorial available which should help get you started if you’re completely new to the franchise.
