One of the ID@Xbox games announced at E3, Wulverblade by Darkwind Media. This is an “old-skool” side scrolling, “beat ’em up”, arcade type game. This game is set in 120AD, and the Roman army has seized control over Britannia. The Roman army’s goal is to conquer the north with their 5000 strong 9th Legion. However, they are not aware of what lies ahead for them. As a guardian of the northern tribes, named Caradoc, is ready to bring war towards the Roman army and prevent them from occupying the lands.
The game will bring an unexpected twist with lots of action. The game will also feature eight levels, all based on real locations, such as woodlands, rivers and Roman forts. This game will bring an engrossing story with unlockable features, native tales of lore and also a look into the past of ancient British history. Also there is promise of an amazing soundtrack “fit for a blockbuster movie”. This is one of the many indie games, that I will be looking forward to. A release date is still to be confirmed, but will be coming out sometime in Q4 2014, on the Xbox One and PC/Mac.
