If you’re a die hard fan of Halo than you already know who Marty O Donnell is, but for those of you who are unfamiliar with the name or face he is the composer for Halo’s soundtrack, excluding halo wars and halo 4, which were developed by other companies. He also composed the soundtrack for Destiny, but has recently been fired by Bungie, and that my friends is where our story begins.
After already completing the soundtrack for Bungie’s Destiny, Marty O Donnell was given the sack “without cause” on April 11, 2014

As of June 6th we were alerted that Marty is Suing Bungie’s President Harold Ryan (not the whole company) for unpaid benefits. Marty claims that when he was terminated he had accrued vacation time, sabbatical time, and paid time off, which Bungie has not paid him. He named and shamed Bungie’s boss Harold Ryan as the reason for this, the lawsuit claims that
“Ryan has willfully and intentionally caused Bungie to deprive O’Donnell of accrued but unused vacation time, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits.”
What do you think about this turn of events? There has also been no word on what Marty will do now, some speculate that he might be joining 343 on Halo again, as more and more time goes by though that seems unlikely, so one can only hope…
