It feels almost poignant that I’m writing about the last Insider Video on Alien Isolation on the day we hear the sad news of the passing of visionary Alien creator HR Giger. His iconic xenomorph looks to be getting a suitably chilling and atmospheric return in this forthcoming game from the guys at Creative Assembly. It’s been a fascinating journey following them through the development process of bringing this game and its characters to life.

The final Insider Video of this behind-the-scenes series reveals further details about the game’s narrative and its lead characters. With new footage, including in-game cut scenes and information, we get to see just what went in to the casting of real-life actors and the motion capture technology used to bring them to life.
Alongside Writer, Dan Abnett, the studio devs talk narrative and you can get a sneak peek of Amanda and Samuels in a new, in-game cut scene below.
With the final Insider Video of the series, we’re also getting the last of the podcasts from the team. The concluding podcast PRIORTY ONE: Audio Log 004 – 759/L2-01N has Creative Lead Al Hope, Lead Artist Jude Bond and Narrative Designer, Dion Lay joining Nee for a talk on the cast of the game.
Along with the rest of the art and narrative team, Al, Jude and Dion have been dedicated to the creation of Amanda Ripley and her world. In the podcast, you’ll get the chance to ask the team your questions on the cast, including the story of Amanda, her mission to understand what happened to her mother, Ellen Ripley.
Send Creative Assembly your questions to [email protected] with the subject title: PRIORITY ONE: Cast by 11:59PM GMT, Sunday, 18th of May. The best questions will be chosen by Nee and put to the podcasters. As it’s also the last podcast in this series, make sure you don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity!
Tune in on Friday, the 23rd of May for the accompanying podcast, detailed discussions on the game’s characters and of course – answers to your questions!
Alien Isolation is due for release on 7 October 2014
