A while back, I wrote a news piece concerning Diablo 3’s expansion pack coming to consoles in the form of the Ultimate Evil Edition. Though it wasn’t confirmed for the Xbox One, it had been said by Blizzard Entertainment that it was actually in development for the console, citing that it wasn’t up to them if it would be released and they couldn’t confirm that it’d actually come out.
Well, don’t look so down, fellow console Diablo player, as it has been confirmed today that the Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be released worldwide on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on August the 19th, just a few months away! But wait, there’s more! If you were worried about upgrading and losing that level 60 character who had been levelling it’s paragon levels, fear not. You’ll be able to transfer your Xbox 360 characters into the new game so you can keep going and start the new expansion content straight away, including the new Adventure Mode, the Paragon 2.0 system and all of the other reworks that are included with Reaper of Souls.
There’s even a new Apprentice Mode that boosts low-level players’ power when playing with their buddies, with the ability to share treasure using an in-game mail system, including “Player Gifts” which are items that can be given to a certain friend and contain some rare treats.
The game will release for $39.99 on Xbox 360 and $59.99 on the Xbox One, though no word on the UK pricing yet, so expect it to be around the regular prices for each console.
