Are you an Xbox One, Xbox 360 or any other Microsoft device owner? Then you will have access to the exclusive new channel Xbox Originals from Microsoft coming soon. Premium dramas, comedies, documentaries, animation, unscripted shows and live events with interactive features will be available on Xbox and Microsoft devices this coming summer. Not only does Xbox Originals feature all of this content, the content will be exclusive to this channel.
Some of the projects confirmed for Xbox Originals already have release dates, however some are still in development. The projects vary from scripted to unscripted shows, and most have a heavy influence of gaming. Xbox Originals is set to be the ultimate entertainment experience for gamers, and Microsoft hopes that fans will therefore have an incentive to make Xbox and Microsoft devices their primary entertainment experience.
Executive Vice President of Xbox Entertainment Studios Jordan Levin said, “Microsoft has a long and rich legacy in the content business. Games have been part of our DNA for at least the last 15 years, and creating original TV content is a logical next step in our evolution.”
The committed projects so far include the “Halo” television series, “Every Street United”, “Bonnaroo”, “Signal to Noise”/”Atari: Game Over”, “Humans” and a “Halo” digital feature.
Projects which are still in development are “Deadlands”, “Extraordinary Believers”, “Fearless”, “Gun Machine” and “Winterworld”.
