In a post published earlier by Chris Peebles, it was mentioned that a ‘Watch_Dogs Closed Beta’ was made available on the Xbox Store for Xbox One owners. The Beta seemed legit with it showing that it required 23.07 GB to download, a synopsis of the game itself and possibly an image. Normal stuff for any demo/beta for any game, right?
Well, that Beta or demo has since been taken down from the store. As was mentioned by Chris, this may have been a glitch made by Ubisoft where this was not supposed to be made public, but maybe it wasn’t? Whatever the initial cause for having the Beta showing in the store in the first place is really a mystery, but there is no denying that it was there and was available.
Redditor mouse2012 discovered a placeholder image for what appears to be the same Watch Dogs beta. According to mouse2012, “it just said no clips to display” when clicked, and you can see mouse2012’s from the photograph what he was talking about:
Clearly, you can see that the Beta is ‘unavailable’ but that it was accessible. However, at this time the Beta is no longer available for download from the store. This article will be updated once more information on this has been received.
