With Dark Souls 2 just around the corner, hype has exploded all over the place. Players are eager to die over and over again in an all new world, with a story not directly connected to the previous entry, but set in the same world. Namco Bandai have released a new trailer in the form of the first part of the games Prologue, which sets up a dark, creepy atmosphere for the game, and some vague information about what you are tasked with doing. Throughout, you’re constantly informed that you’ll do things and not care, nor know why you’re even doing this. This is a great way to advertise the game going forward, as it mimics the feelings of a new player to the Dark Souls universe. Watch the video in question below.
The third game in the “Souls” series of games, Dark Souls 2 is a brutal RPG that is punishing in a fair way, and tasks you with defeating numerous enemies and bosses, gathering their souls and travelling the dark place where you appear. Yet another great reason for keeping that last gen console hooked up, Dark Souls 2 releases on the Xbox 360 on March 14th. Just one week to go, guys!
