For those looking forward to a taste of what Metal Gear Solid 5 has to offer, they’ll know that Ground Zeroes, the prologue to The Phantom Pain is out next month. A short set of missions that takes place after Peacewalker and Snake Eater (both part of the HD Collection) it sets up what happens in the main portion of the game, similar in a sense to the Tanker Chapter of Metal Gear Solid 2. Though the next chapter isn’t set to release until likely the end of 2015, this might satiate the hunger of people yearning for more Metal Gear. After all, Metal Gear Solid 4 came out way back in 2008.

There’s some great news for those of you wanting to pick this up for the Xbox One as well, as it’s been reduced in price from £39.99 to £29.99 for the new console, matching the price of the last generation. This makes sense, as it supposedly takes around 2 hours to complete the main story mission in the game, though there’s been some debate about this time, especially when the developers have mentioned some of their team can speed-run it in around 5 minutes.

This marks one of the first major titles to come in at a very reasonable cost for the Xbox One, and it’s found even cheaper if you shop around online, with ShopTo having the game for £23.86. So go forth and purchase the next Metal Gear game for cheap, and while you’re waiting, why not fire up your 360 and play through the HD collection? It’s what I’ve been doing in anticipation.
