The Warhammer universe is a hot property at the minute. This is backed up with the previous release of Space Hulk: Tactics, Vermintide 2 and Inquisitor – Martyr. There is plenty of adaptations of the board game world on the market.

Coming next year is yet another Warhammer game. This one is titled Warhammer: Chaosbane and it seems to have taken on a Diablo root in regards to it’s gameplay.

Billed as the first hack and slash adventure set in the Warhammer universe. Players will be dropped into the heart of a global spanning conflict between an alliance of races: Human, High Elf, Dwarf & Wood Elf who find themselves battling the forces of Chaos.

We have been introduced to Imperial Captain – Konrad Vollen.

Konrad Vollen is a close ranged melee character who plays the role of the typical Tank class character. He has access to powerful AoE abilities which allow him to stem the tide of the Chaos hordes. Konrad also has access to various banners which can be planted into the ground to aid the team in various ways. Konrad is also able to utilise his shield mastery, in the form of his ultra attack.

If fighting close to other team mates, the team has a blood-lust meter which is filled by defeating enemies. Once this meter is filled, any team member can activate the blood-lust ability in the form of a devastating attack.

Whilst no release date has been set. Expect Warhammer: Chaosbane to come to Xbox One sometime in 2019.
