I might have been one of the few people happy to have Aisha Tyler caught off mid ramble by the lights getting turned off and a massive DedSec logo appearing on stage at Ubisoft’s press conference. This was the start of Watch Dogs 2 E3 showcase.
Once again though we have a ridiculously choreographed gameplay showcase, which led to the downfall of the first Watch Dogs. The game does follow some of the same pit falls as the first game, character design is a mash between a 90’s interpretation of hackers and people with a bondage clothing fetish.
The introduction of the drone looks to replace some of the camera hopping that was involved in the first game. Though the biggest improvements seems to be a character with more personality than Aiden Pearce, which to be honest is not hard. The Master Chief in Halo has more personality the protagonist of Watch Dogs, so going forward it was not a bad display. I will look forward to seeing more on this game in the coming months.
I found the graphics to be on show a little underwhelming, though hopefully this means the people are not going to be overhyped and over excited for things that are not in the final game.
