So many people raised their arms in the air last night in celebration, well I did at least, at Phil Spencer announcing that original Xbox games will now be included to the backwards compatibility line up. This announcement means that you will be able to play the games from 2 generations ago on your Xbox One console for free.
The news came with delight to the audience at the Los Angeles show as the original Xbox start up noise blasted nostalgia into the audiences ears. Phil Spencer was on stage letting the world know that engineers have been hard at work to bring out a catalogue of backwards compatible titles when the OG Xbox Backwards Compatibility goes live later this year.
Along with this announcement, one game in particular was highlighted during the show that will be present when the scheme goes live. The promise was that all games from the Backwards Compatibility line up will look better on Xbox One than they did on their native platforms. The announcement wrapped up by informing gamers that OG Backwards Compatibility will be love later this year.
