It has been some time since Destiny last received an update that has progressed it’s somewhat lacking story. The biggest improvement arrived with last years The Taken King expansion. This past week saw the announcement (and leak prior to announcement) of Destiny’s next big expansion Rise of the Iron.
There is a great emphasis on story now after the game has received no end of criticism for what passed for story at release in 2014. The expansion is promising more than just story though; new location, a new raid, and new strike, more quests, weapon, gear multiplayer maps and modes.
So this is going to be an expansion to get your teeth sunk into if you are still interested in Destiny, and hopefully the people who have not played it in a while (myself included) might give the game another look. For all the negative things I may personally have to say about Destiny I still enjoyed playing it and The Taken King made the game finally feel like a step in the right direction.

Eager players who are looking to pre-order Rise of the Iron will receive a limited edition in game weapon in the form of the black and silver Iron Gjallarhorn rocket launcher. This very cool and stylised weapon will be a very nice addition to your in game arsenal.

With no news as of yet on a price point we hope it will not be too expensive as dedicated players to Destiny have found themselves paying out a small fortune so far on the DLC and expansions to date.
