It ended up being one of the surprise hits of the last generation, selling over half a million copies, and now Undead Labs’ zombie survival game is receiving a full-blown sequel as State of Decay 2 has been revealed at the Microsoft E3 conference.
Coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017, State of Decay 2 looks substantially prettier than its predecessor and offer greater control over your settlement, meaning you can greater customise how you defend your people from the undead horde, as well as mange your limited resources.
In an interview with IGN, Undead Labs’ Jeff Strain confirmed that State of Decay 2 is no longer the MMO it was originally planned to be, and would now provide a much tighter and more focussed 4-player co-op campaign. Regardless, as a big fan of the first game, I look forward to seeing what they can do with the greater power available to them.
