During the Bethesda E3 showcase a video was shown featuring Bethesda Game Studios’ Game Director Todd Howard. During the end of this video it was revealed that Skyrim Special Edition will be launching on the 28th October 2016. Many will be asking, well what’s different? Allow me to break it down.
This Special Edition of Skyrim features remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections, new snow shaders and new water shaders. In short the game looks a lot nicer than the original console versions. The most important thing however, is that mods will be available on console, allowing you to play the game in completely different and wacky ways.
